The Cold Steel Full Metal Atlas Clip Point brings a fresh new look to one of the most exciting premium folding knives in the Cold Steel range. This new version retains the all-metal construction and the powerful Atlas Lock, but now features a Clip Point blade, giving it a more classic silhouette and a particularly effective tip.

The 8.9 cm blade is made from CPM-S35VN, a high-grade American steel offering an excellent balance between edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance. With this new Clip Point geometry, Cold Steel offers an attractive alternative to the earlier versions of the Full Metal Atlas whilst retaining the materials that position the model at the top of its EDC range.

The handle remains one of the Full Metal Atlas’s key selling points. Made entirely from titanium, it features a Stonewash finish that emphasises the knife’s industrial and functional appearance whilst helping to conceal minor marks caused by everyday use.

At the heart of its design lies the Atlas Lock system, a locking mechanism patented by Cold Steel. Particularly robust, it holds the blade firmly in the open position whilst offering handling suited to a modern EDC knife.

Despite its exceptionally sturdy materials and construction, the Full Metal Atlas remains surprisingly light: Cold Steel states a weight of approximately 108 gr in its specifications. For a folding knife measuring nearly 24 cm when open and featuring a handle made entirely of titanium, the size-to-weight ratio is particularly impressive.

Finally, a reversible pocket clip allows for right- or left-handed carry, further enhancing this model’s suitability for everyday use.

We find this new version particularly successful. The Full Metal Atlas already boasted an appealing combination with its titanium handle, S35VN steel and, above all, the Atlas Lock; the introduction of a Clip Point blade offers a genuine variation rather than a mere cosmetic change.

We also appreciate the choice of full stonewash finish, which is particularly fitting for a knife intended to be carried and used regularly. With its modest weight despite its generous dimensions, the Full Metal Atlas succeeds above all in combining two qualities that Cold Steel does not always bring together: the brand’s characteristic robustness and a certain elegance in a truly premium EDC knife.
