You will find, mainly in this section, the pieces sold by our intermediary following the resumption of a collection of rare knives which was entrusted to the Tellknives cutlery. This catalog presents you in an exhaustive way the pieces of collection to which we have access.

Since January 2020 we offer our clients a service of expertise of coins, entire collections or inheritance. This expertise service is free. If the pieces presented interest us, they can be taken back and bought by the Tellknives cutlery or put in consignment with us and sold through our network of collectors. Under the category CUSTOM, you will find knives that have been made by craftsmen. These are without doubt the most beautiful pieces in the world of cutlery. True art knives, master cutlers forge and produce high quality knives for collectors and all lovers of handcrafted objects. What distinguishes an artisan knife from an industrial knife is undoubtedly the realization and the knowledge of the master cutler but also the materials used for the production of the blades and the handles of these knives. As far as the blade is concerned, high quality Damascus steel is often used for the production of luxury knives. Handles can be made of materials such as precious woods (ebony and walnut), deer antlers or buffalo horn, ivory and fossilized mammoth molar.

Artisan knives are becoming increasingly rare as production methods give way to techniques that allow for faster and cheaper production. That is why Tellknives Cutlery is pleased to be able to present these rare artisan knives. 

Under the category VINTAGE AND COLLECTOR, you will find your happiness as a collector of old knives, of brands that have sometimes disappeared while leaving treasures in terms of manufacturing and design of industrial blades. The VINTAGE AND COLLECTOR models are generally collector's knives because they are knives of reputed brands that exist or have existed and that are on the market and can be seen as investments. For most of the VINTAGE AND COLLECTOR knives, you will find a rarity index and an indication of its price. Tellknives generally resells the knives at a lower price to allow for a more interesting investment for its customers as well as a circulation of the pieces in the market and thus a privileged access to its customers.
