The 24 windows contain the various components of a folding knife inspired by the Böker Plus Gent. This Gent version favours a classic design. The finished knife opens with both hands thanks to a thumb notch, whilst a lockback mechanism secures the blade in place. A traditional design, complemented by a contemporary shape that is compact enough for everyday use.

Tellknives review:
The Gent is aimed primarily at those who appreciate traditional pocket knives but wish to discover what lies beneath their liners. This is not simply an item to be taken out of its box: the owner plays an active part in its construction and gradually comes to understand the role of each component.

We also appreciate how it differs in spirit from the DTK, which was launched in the same year. Whilst the latter adopts a more modern and tactical identity, the Gent returns to the fundamentals of the folding knife with its two-handed opening and Lockback mechanism. It is therefore the more classic and probably the more universally appealing choice of the two Böker Plus 2026 models.

The result holds a special value that a pre-assembled knife simply cannot offer. The pleasure of discovery gives way to that of assembly, followed by the satisfaction of keeping or using a personalised piece crafted by one’s own hands. An excellent way to look forward to Christmas in a different way — and a gift that certainly won’t be forgotten at the back of a drawer.
