AL MAR Knives produced in the 80's a series called BORDER PATROL, in reference and homage to the troops of the same name who guarantee the American borders.
This M40 model is the middle one, in size. The two other AL MAR knives of the BORDER PATROL series are the M50 and M30.
Although relatively plain in shape compared to the rest of the range, this Vintage Al Mar Border Patrol M40 knife has an atypical personality. The serrations on the back of the blade, as well as the Immigration Border Patrol markings, the brass guard and the mahogany wood handle give it class and authority.
Relatively rare, the Al Mar Border Patrol M40 is not one of the brand's emblematic models, but it is one of the most beautiful pieces to own in a knife collection, especially Al Mar.
