At Al Mar Knives, from a design standpoint, folding knives have perhaps been more extravagant than fixed knives of any model.
The Al Mar Buzzard 1006 illustrates this perfectly, with its taut lines on the back, and multiple roundnesses underneath, allowing for an optimal grip and lock.
Its polished brass bolsters and locks are a reminder of its age (it appeared in the catalog in 1979 (!) and won't stay there for long) as the design smacks of the 1970s. The precision of the assembly of this Al Mar Buzzard knife, as well as the mirror finish of the blade, are details that leave one in awe when one is lucky enough to have one in his hands. This is not surprising since the Al Mar Buzzard 1006 was produced in Seki, Japan by artisans of exceptional skill.
Unknown and rare, the Al Mar Buzzard folding knife is a prized piece. The condition of this knife is beautiful, with only very slight oxidation marks along the edge. The micarta plates are perfect, as well as the bolsters. The edge is original and has not been touched.
No case, no box.
