The Kershaw brand has been a major player on the international cutlery scene for a long time.
In the 70's and 80's, the brand produced very nice models in Seki, Japan, which guaranteed them an exceptional quality.
This Vintage Kershaw 1050 field knife, from a family with a similar design but with many variations (fixed, folding, and various sizes) benefits from this quality of construction, and from first class materials.
Mirror finish on the blade, brass bolsters and plates, polished black phenolic plates, everything is beautiful and well made in this knife.
The edge is original, it is in superb condition and so is its brown leather sheath with snap and belt loop.
Sold at the time as a "field knife", these models were often - and rightly - used, and it is rare to find them in this condition.
