CHRIS REEVE - PROJECT I & II
An ingenious construction of a piece that made the fame of the famous Chris Reeve, surely one of the most influential knife makers of our time.
Born in South Africa in 1953, he began producing his own knives in the early 1980's, and then emigrated to the USA in 1989 to further develop his cutlery.
The PROJECT I & II are the result of a collaboration with Sergeant Karl Liopard of the USMC; the goal being to design the ultimate survival knife for the USMC Marines.
And we can say that the result seems hyper credible.
Technically :
One piece construction in A2 steel, thickness 6.5mm
Total length 32.5cm
19cm blade
Matte anthracite Cerakote coating
Hollow handle and aluminum cap with screw thread
Perfect point and edge
Black leather sheath with belt loop and snap closure
Knife condition 10/10
Case condition 9.9/10
Rarity index 9.9/10
Delivered in a black nylon pouch with zip closure.
900.-CHF each.
1700.-CHF for both.
Our opinion:
Chris Reeve is one of the most famous knifemakers in the world and owning a piece in his collection is highly recommended!
These Project I and II models are very rare and are among the greatest of this range. Chris Reeve's complete productions are very hard to find!
NB: the Project I is the one on the left.
