VINTAGE & COLLECTOR
RANDALL MADE KNIVES
Model 16 Diver + very rare "pancake" combat sheath
Mythical American brand created in 1938 (!) by Bo Randall, who was probably one of the most influential knifemakers of all time; judge for yourself:
- many of his models have been used in all wars, starting from WWII, and the more history the models have, the higher their value!
- nASA equipped astronauts with one of its models, developed precisely with these specifications (model 17 ASTRO), and in 1961 it equipped the crew members of the Mercury 7 mission, becoming the first knife in orbit!
- the catalog has 28 models and all are customizable!
- the waiting time for an order is currently ... 6 years! the price of excellence!
- the list of distinctions and specificities being still long, here is a link for the most curious!

This model is a Vintage copy of the 70/80's Model 16 Diver that is usually found with a simple brass guard and without the serrated back.
The extraordinary thing about this model is its holster! Indeed this one was developed to answer the request of combat swimmers and was distributed only in very limited number and during the years 70/80!
Technically:
Knife and sheath produced during the 70/80s (post 78 to be precise).
17.7cm. stainless steel blade (the S in Randall is for Stainless).
Full tang construction
Total length 27cm.
Thickness of 5mm
Sawback option
Double brass guard
Black micarta block handle with finger grooves
Pancake leather case with belt loop, rubber straps and rubber retention ring!
Comes in a black nylon case with zip closure.
Our opinion:
Randall is a must have in a collection: this Vintage Diver 16 "pancake" is in a beautiful condition and becomes ultra collector with its very rare case!
