NASA equipped astronauts with one of its models, developed precisely to these specifications (model 17 ASTRO), and in 1961 it was used by the crew of the Mercury 7 mission, becoming the first knife in orbit.

The 'Model 5' Camp and Trail is an outdoor, hunting and survival knife. A camp knife par excellence, it comes in 5" (as shown here), 6", 7" and even 8" blades!
