Vintage & Collector Vintage 80ies Kershaw 1055 Bowie Field Knife AUS-8A steel miror finish brass bolsters black phenolic handle
The Kershaw brand is a major player on the international cutlery scene, and has been for a long time.
In the 70s and 80s, the brand produced some very fine models in Seki, Japan, guaranteeing exceptional quality.
This Vintage Kershaw 1055 bowie field knife, part of a family with a similar design but with many variations (fixed, folding, and various sizes) benefits from this quality of construction, and first-rate materials.
With its mirror-finish blade, brass bolsters and plates, and polished black phenolic inserts, this knife is beautifully crafted.
The cutting edge is original and in superb condition, as is the brown leather sheath with snap fastener and belt loop.
Sold at the time as a "field knife", these models were often - and rightly - used, and it is rare to find them in this state of preservation.
What's more, this 1055 variant is extremely rare, as very few were sold!
