This is my latest acquisition, which I've already tested and reviewed.
Overall, this Lionsteel knife is well-built, solid and intelligent.
In fact, it's a really well-made knife in terms of design, ensuring real sturdiness (which I need on a daily basis). I'd recommend it for anyone who wants a very solid EDC (everyday use).
I'd say it could also be used as a tool, given its sturdiness, but when it comes to maintenance, dust or cement could damage it, as there are quite a few small gaps that are difficult to clean. In fact, as it seems to be made of a block of micarta, dust can get into corners you can't reach.
The fact that it's made of a block makes it very robust. It's thick but not awkward to hold. Note that despite its thickness, this knife remains fairly light.
As the blade is large, the weight is mainly on the front.
This is a very comfortable knife to hold, whether for large hands (ideal, even with gloves) or smaller ones. There's also the option of an ambidextrous grip (same for the clip and glass breaker).
The opening and closing system is very fluid.
In the pocket, it blends in well despite the fact that it's a little thick, it doesn't bother in the least, which is a good point given its thickness.
It's a big-ticket item, but I think it's well worth it. The handle is superbly finished.
I may not use it like the Benchmade, but I've used it as a crowbar...and it works.
The paint on the blade holds up quite well, despite the fact that now with the use I put it to, there are a few marks. But all in all, I'm surprised at how well it holds up.
The opening and closing system, while not my favorite, works well.
The big negative for me is the pocket clip. For me, it's clearly undersized. What's more, it's super hard to put on and take off.
Nevertheless, I don't think this knife is overpriced, Lionsteel still works pretty well!
