A PUMA that has become hard to find:
The name PUMA Solingen immediately brings to mind the great German hunting knives that built the manufacturer’s reputation; the 132002 Scout tells a very different part of its story.

Produced at the turn of the 2000s, it belongs to a now rare generation of tactical PUMA knives designed in Solingen, characterised by a particularly robust construction and an aesthetic almost entirely dictated by function.

With its full-tang construction, thick chisel-ground blade and black synthetic handle, the Scout was a far cry from the traditional PUMA knives made from wood or deer antler.
This is precisely what makes it so interesting today.

Long since discontinued and now difficult to find on the market, the 132002 Scout represents a distinctive period in PUMA’s history, when the Solingen-based manufacturer was exploring the field of modern tactical and military knives.

Exemplars preserved in good condition are now sought after by certain collectors of the brand, particularly as this generation of PUMA is significantly less well-known and documented than the famous White Hunter and other great historical hunting classics.

Displayed alongside the 132000 TAC I, the Scout also brings together two particularly interesting examples from this brief tactical period in PUMA’s history.

An unusual PUMA in its day, it has now become a genuine collector’s item.
