Tanto-style fixed-blade knife, PUMA Solingen 132000 Scout combat knife.

Manufactured in the 1990s in Solingen by the legendary cutlery brand PUMA, this impressive military and combat fixed-blade knife is not just for show.
Its full-tang construction in German stainless steel is a prime example of this.
The blade features a chisel grind, meaning it is sharpened on one side only, whilst the other remains unground.
The cutting edge is formidable, and the design is unusual in the world of combat knives!

The knife is in absolutely mint condition!
The sheath is also in mint condition, but the black plastic loop for the leg strap is cracked (see photo).
The knife has never even been inserted into its sheath!

Our opinion:
This PUMA 132000 Scout Tanto is a tactical PUMA from a bygone era; long before the current boom in the tactical knife market, PUMA Solingen was already offering, at the turn of the 2000s, a small range of knives designed specifically for military and professional use.
The 132000 TAC I / Tactical model is probably one of the most interesting examples of this range.

Its design is radically different from the great hunting classics that made PUMA’s reputation: a particularly robust full-tang construction, a functional black synthetic handle and a substantial blade with a chisel grind.

An uncompromising aesthetic that immediately places this model in its historical context: that of European tactical knives from the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Now long out of production, the 132000 TAC I rarely appears on the market, particularly in good condition. It thus offers an interesting insight into a much lesser-known facet of PUMA Solingen’s history.

More than just a vintage tactical knife, it is now an unusual PUMA collector’s item, particularly interesting when viewed alongside its sister model, the 132002 Scout.
