Randall Made Knives Model 1-5 military fixed-blade knife and survival knife: forged stainless steel blade, brass guard and pommel, Arizona ironwood handle, brown leather sheath.
A legendary American brand founded in 1938 (!) by Bo Randall, who was arguably one of the most influential cutlers of all time!
The ‘Randall Model 1’ is arguably Randall’s most iconic model; the best known is the 1-7 (7 for 7 inches, of course), but the Model 1 is also available with 5-inch (as shown here!), 6-inch and 8-inch blades!
And even in a Mini version!
What makes this example special (apart from being the smallest in the Model 1 range in the catalogue) is that it’s particularly elegant in this top-of-the-range version, with its brass guard, an Arizona ironwood handle (with superb grain!) and a brass pommel plate. Nothing but beauty!

Our verdict:
Randall is a must-have for any collection; this Model 1-5 is spectacular in this configuration; the ultimate in versatility and the ideal size for all kinds of uses, it is far less common than its big brother, the Randall Model 1-7. And so, all the more desirable!
The quality of craftsmanship from RANDALL makes it a superb addition to any collection, whether militaria or not.
