"If you can't rely on your knife, what good is it?" This is Andrew Demko's motto.

Andrew Demko is the owner and founder of Demko Knives. He started by forging blades very quickly in his garage and in a self-taught way with very rudimentary tools at the base (small grinding wheel that allows him to sharpen knives). This allowed him to start a passion for knives that will never leave him.

He was soon noticed by the internationally renowned cutlery company Cold Steel. His passion for cutlery, engineering and his concern for perfection allowed him to quickly climb the ladder at Cold Steel.

He was responsible for designing some of the most innovative and robust knife locking mechanisms on the market, including the now-famous Shark Lock, which allows the user to deploy and close the knife with one hand.

Since the sale of Cold Steel, Andrew Demko has not abandoned his passion for knives and has expanded his business by partnering with his brother John Demko. John brings his expertise in custom knife making, sales and manufacturing.

Mike Wallace, a longtime friend and knife maker, has also joined the team.
