The switch from aluminium to titanium with a carbon fibre insert elevates the Emmet to a significantly more exclusive category. This EM01 BR version retains the series’ ultra-compact design and SOLID® architecture, but combines them with a bronze-finished titanium handle, enhanced with a carbon fibre insert and featuring a Stonewash blade made from CPM MagnaCut. LionSteel has priced it at €260 within its 2026 range.
The Emmet remains, above all, a true pocket knife: 17.1 cm when open, with a 7.2 cm blade. This compact size allows it to slip easily into a pocket, whilst benefiting from materials and mechanics usually reserved for larger premium folding knives.
LionSteel manufactures the handle structure using its SOLID® process. The frame is therefore milled from a single solid block of titanium, rather than being constructed by assembling two conventional plates. This technique results in a particularly rigid monolithic structure whilst giving the knife the very clean-cut aesthetic characteristic of Maniago’s SOLID Knives.
On the EM01 BR, LionSteel has added a carbon fibre insert that contrasts with the bronze colouring of the titanium. The combination is particularly striking: the titanium retains the Emmet’s technical and metallic character, whilst the carbon fibre adds a more sophisticated touch without making the knife look bulky.
The blade is made from CPM MagnaCut and features a Stonewash finish. This modern steel is particularly well-suited to a premium EDC knife thanks to its excellent balance between corrosion resistance, toughness and edge retention. The V-Flat grind, meanwhile, prioritises cutting efficiency for everyday use.
The mechanics remain true to the range’s standards: the Frame Lock features a hardened steel insert at its contact surface, and the blade pivots on ceramic ball bearings, ensuring a smooth and precise opening action.
The REF – Removable Flipper system also allows the knife’s configuration to be modified. The flipper can be removed using a T6 Torx screwdriver and replaced with the dedicated screw supplied by LionSteel. This allows the user to choose between a quick flipper opening or a sleeker, more discreet profile.
Designed by Molletta and manufactured in Italy, the Emmet Titanium demonstrates that a small EDC can boast genuine technical sophistication without losing the simplicity and ease of carry that are precisely what make this format so appealing.
Tellknives Review
In our opinion, it is in these titanium/carbon versions that the Emmet fully realises its concept. The SOLID® construction takes on a whole new dimension when crafted from a solid block of titanium, whilst the carbon insert and Bronze finish lend the knife a distinctly more exclusive character.
We also appreciate the fact that LionSteel has not turned this move upmarket into a mere aesthetic exercise: MagnaCut, a reinforced Frame Lock, ceramic bearings and a removable flipper remain at the heart of the model.
The EM01 BR is therefore aimed at those seeking a small, premium EDC made in Italy, with a particularly high-quality finish and original enough to stand out from the many grey titanium folding knives available on the market.
