Hogue Saxum 24679 – MagnaCut blade with stonewash finish, black aluminum handle, and black G-Mascus inserts

The Hogue Saxum 24679 EDC folding knife plays on the contrast between a light-colored blade with a stonewash finish and a black handle featuring G-Mascus inserts. The G10 pattern adds visual interest to this design while maintaining a understated look. The black anodized titanium thumb studs complement the handle’s harmonious design.

Designed by Jim Bruhns, this American folding knife features compact proportions. Its 7.1 cm drop-point blade made of CPM MagnaCut is suitable for everyday cutting tasks, with a minimal profile when the knife is folded.

The manual opening mechanism, featuring ambidextrous thumb studs, utilizes a ball-bearing system. The Button Lock is activated via the side button, while a deep clip for right-handed users ensures the knife carries point-up.

Tellknives Review:
We appreciate this version for its understated design and the contrast provided by the stonewashed blade. The G-Mascus adds character to the handle without being overly bold, a combination we find particularly well-executed on this compact model.

We’d recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight American folding knife made with high-end materials and a design that’s easy to incorporate into everyday life. The Saxum maintains a refined look here, right down to the black details of its opening mechanism.
