SOG - S1 5th SF Group - Vietnam - Collector's knife

VINTAGE & COLLECTOR 1986

SOG S1 5th SF Group, Vietnam

First numbered edition (of 1500 pieces), even before the brand's famous "square logo"!

This example bears the number 0165!

A SOG icon, the S1 is a faithful replica of a combat knife specially ordered from Japan for an elite US unit in the Vietnam War.

Design by Hattori!

Often imitated, never equalled, it's still in the SOG catalog almost 40 years after its first appearance!

Today's versions are made of stainless steel and are industrially produced, unlike the first models which were produced in Seki Japan by craftsmen, in SK5 carbon steel.

Technically :

SOG S1 models were produced at SEKI

In Switzerland, some knives are considered weapons. Customers must therefore be very careful when making purchases. The Swiss Weapons Act governs the acquisition of weapons on Swiss territory, and we only offer knives in our catalog that are not considered weapons under the Swiss Weapons Act. Possession of the online models offered in our shop is entirely legal. The only condition applying to the purchase of cutlery from our shop is that you must be over 18.

Yes, all items available on tellknives.ch are not considered weapons in Switzerland. Anyone over 18 years of age can buy a knife online without applying for an acquisition permit (PAE).

Tellknives offers all kinds of engraving, from the simplest to the most complex. You'll find all the information you need on our Engravings page.
