With this version of the Kiwami, Kizer plays on a particularly striking contrast: a sharply curved black blade and a yellow PEI handle, whose amber hue highlights the blade’s contours. Designed by Konstantinos Paschalis, this small tactical folding knife has a visual identity all its own, without being bulky for everyday use.
The BD1N stainless steel hawkbill blade features a concave cutting edge, ideal for pulling cuts. Its downward-sloping tip allows for precise engagement with the material, particularly when opening packaging or cutting through a tie. The flat grind and black PVD coating complement this bold geometry.
The mechanism is also worth noting; manual opening is achieved via a front flipper, while the liner lock is located on the top of the handle. Unlocking it by pinching between the thumb and index finger keeps your fingers out of the blade’s path when closing.
The diagonal grooves and small machined recesses in the PEI enhance grip. With its openwork plates, a weight of just 68.1gr, and a deep, reversible clip, the Kiwami remains a true pocket knife.

Tellknives Review:
We appreciate the combination of amber PEI and the black blade, which adds depth to an already unique, almost animal-like design. The Kiwami is compact, lightweight, and instantly recognizable. However, its concave edge requires specialized sharpening tools—a factor to consider if you want to enjoy this blade geometry for the long term.
