Named after its founder, Al Mar Knives was founded in 1979 by a former Green Beret from Vietnam

Al Mar knives have a reputation - and this is also our opinion - for exceptional quality and durability. Although headquartered in the USA in Oregon, their knives are produced, finished and sharpened by hand in Seki City, Japan, hence the widespread use of VG-10 steel in the range. Due to competition, the entry-level Al Mar knife models are made in China.

As for the premium products, the end result is simply superb. A prestigious brand whose collectors are probably the most sought-after non-custom knives on the market, they are sometimes traded at gold prices!
