The Randall Made Model 12-8 Bear Bowie is one of the iconic Bowies produced by Randall Made Knives in Orlando, Florida. This example, manufactured in July 2026, features a superb traditional design combining an imposing carbon steel blade, a natural stag’s antler handle and polished brass fittings.

Its 8-inch (20.3 cm) Bowie blade is made from carbon steel. Its spectacular profile, characterised by a long, upturned point and particularly pronounced grinding lines, gives the Model 12-8 a silhouette that is instantly recognisable amongst the great American knives.

The handle is made from natural stag antler; on this particular knife, there is a beautiful contrast between the lighter sections and the darker bark-like grain of the antler. The finger grooves carved into the handle ensure a firm grip whilst reinforcing the quintessentially Randall character of this design.

An imposing double guard in polished brass protects the hand, whilst a pommel, also made of brass, balances the overall design. A green lanyard, a Randall classic, completes this design.

The knife comes with its original brown leather ‘Randall Made’ sheath, bearing the marking ‘12 8’ on the back, corresponding to the model and blade length.
