Designed as a discreet and reliable travel knife, the ESEE Expat Medellin II EDC pocket folding knife embodies the brand’s utilitarian ethos in a particularly compact format. Its drop-point blade, made from CPM S35VN steel, features a full flat grind and a stonewashed finish – a combination well-suited to both everyday tasks and outdoor use.
The olive green canvas Micarta scales are slightly contoured to provide a natural grip despite the knife’s compact size. The knife opens using two thumb buttons, whilst the crossbar lock allows the blade to be locked and released with either the right or left hand. Its reversible deep-carry clip also ensures discreet carrying on either side.
Weighing just 74 g and measuring 9.2 cm when closed, the Medellin II is easily forgotten in a pocket. ESEE has designed it as a true everyday carry (EDC) knife for the outdoors: simple, robust, easy to carry and capable enough to accompany its owner both in daily life and whilst travelling.

Tellknives review:
The Medellin II folding knife doesn’t aim to impress with its size, but with the quality of its features; for a still reasonable price, ESEE offers CPM S35VN steel, Micarta, an ambidextrous lock and a featherweight design. Its short handle will suit small to medium-sized hands in particular, or those deliberately seeking a very compact EDC. A well-positioned new release, more modern and technically far more appealing than the original Medellin.
