The WE Knife Breach WE25077-2 features two distinct finishes on its blade: the bevels are given a Black Stonewash finish, whilst the flat sections are brushed black. This contrast highlights the intricate lines of its tanto profile whilst maintaining a resolutely sombre aesthetic.
The Breach is part of WE Knife’s collection inspired by the US armed forces. Its imposing size, heavily sculpted handle and 4.0 mm-thick blade give it a particularly robust character. The five-pointed copper star inlaid near the pivot provides the only real colour contrast in this design.
The Böhler M390 blade combines excellent edge retention with high corrosion resistance. It deploys via a flipper and a pivot mounted on encapsulated ceramic ball bearings. The frame lock integrated into the 6Al4V titanium handle then secures it in place.
The sculpted clip, backplate and screws are also made from titanium and feature a matching black finish. Produced in a limited run of just 200 pieces, this version is individually numbered and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This black version is probably the most striking of the Breach range. The dual blade finish avoids the uniform look of a conventional full-blade treatment, whilst the copper star becomes a real focal point. Its weight and dimensions mean it is not a lightweight EDC, but they perfectly suit its positioning: that of a large, premium folding knife, spectacular in appearance and produced in very limited quantities. Between the WE25077-1 and WE25077-2 versions, we prefer the latter for its visual impact and its potential as a collector’s item.
