A small overview of the new products...

SwayBack

This knife is directly inspired by the English knives of the 19th century and takes the elegant and functional design of this type of blade called "Wharncliffe". The Polish designer Marcin Slysz signed this collaboration. 

The SwayBack blade is made of CTS XHP stainless steel. Spyderco offers on this blade a very nice Stonewash finish and Titanium plates with a dark Stonewash finish of the most beautiful effect. 

This knife is a true concentrate of elegance and can boast, thanks to the versatility of this type of blade, to be a beautiful functional EDC.

This novelty comes straight from the Shot Show 2020!

Tip

With this model, Spyderco is also playing the elegance card. The basic materials and construction are not different from what Spyderco usually offers, but the line has been revised and the design of the knife has been redesigned to be very aesthetic. 

The long, slightly curved edge and fully flat cutting edge of its 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade give it plenty of cutting power. Its ergonomic handle and G10 texture provide a secure, non-slip grip.

The robust LinerLock mechanism locks the blade securely in place during use and a pocket clip that can be positioned in all four positions, as well as a lanyard hole, allow for many carrying options. Note that Spyderco fits all budgets and the Astute is an excellent value for money!

Yojumbo

This model is inspired in every way by the design of Michael Janich's Yojimbo 2, which has proven itself time and time again! However, with the various feedbacks from users, Spyderco wanted to adapt this model by increasing it by a ratio of 20%. This allows this new 2020 model to satisfy even users with large hands! We really appreciate the new ergonomics and the grip thanks to the G10 texture.

Of course, the superb Wharncliffe type blade that made the base model famous is still there. Possibility of quick one-handed opening with the mythical Spydie hole (patent pending!). It is also worth mentioning that a lot of research has been done on this model to reduce its weight to a minimum. The Yojumbo is a well thought out model, very successful and effective in EDC as well as in self-defense.

SpyOpera

The SpyOpera is one of our current favorite models at Spyderco. Designed and produced by an Italian knife maker, LionSteel, and featuring Spyderco's Trademark Round Hole for easy one-handed openings...it has it all!

We classify it as an EDC knife, the perfect functional knife that you will need every day. The blade is made of high quality Bohler M390 stainless steel and the handle plates are made of polished Micarta, which not only provides an excellent grip but also adds to its elegance. 

This elegant SpyOpera will find its place in every jeans pocket ... and pants.

Delica 4

In 1990, Spyderco released the Delica and the Endura, models that quickly became emblematic of its collection. They will become the bestsellers of the range: versatile, light, efficient, allowing a one-handed opening: they had everything to please. In addition, they were affordable!

Building on this success, Spyderco continues to develop these models, always looking for more performance with different types of materials. It is in this spirit that Spyderco offers the Delica 4 in K390 steel.

Manufactured by the Austrian brand Böhler-Uddeholm, the K390 Microclean is a work tool steel. Its advanced alloy mix has been specially developed to provide extreme wear resistance and very high compressive strength.

Combined, these qualities make K390 an exceptional material for the true connoisseur of steel, and the (very) demanding user.

Chaparral Sun Moon

The Chaparral variations all share the same refined design but offer distinctly different materials and treatments.

The newest addition is the Chaparral Sun and Moon, which features a smooth white G-10 insert with a red G10 inlay and another black G-10 insert with a genuine mother-of-pearl inlay. Reminiscent of the ying and yang symbol, this beautiful deluxe version of the Chaparral features a CTS-XHP steel blade and a reversible deep pocket metal clip. Very nice realization that combines efficiency in everyday life and elegance in all circumstances.
