Akeron is a French knife brand, created by the director of Armes Bastille, Isidore Dellas and two of his friends, in the middle of the 2000s.

Based on the experience of the founders and collaborations with renowned designers, the Akeron brand offers knives and accessories that are very "sharp" in terms of technicality, ergonomics and aesthetics.

Focus on the AKERON Eklipse fixed knife

The AKERON Eklipse is a small but sturdy fixed knife, with an excellent grip thanks to its obvious ergonomics (thanks to the thick plates in beautiful ziricote wood or in black G10) and its careful finishing. Born from the collaboration with Tony Lopez, a renowned French cutler, the filiation with the big brothers of the brand is obvious.

The fact that it is made in Italy at FOX Knives ensures an excellent level of production quality and reliable quality control. The line of this little knife is really very elegant and sleek; its deep guard allows the index finger to wrap around it well, and the ridges on the back of the blade ensure that the thumb does not slip during heavy cutting work.

For a hand size L-XL or larger, the little finger will not find a place on the handle because it is a "3 finger".

But the proposed ergonomics are perfectly adapted to it and this does not hinder its use, even if it is pressed.

Depending on your preferences, you can add a paracord braid to the AKERON Eklipse thanks to the hole at the bottom of the handle, which will add a bit of length to the grip and may make it easier to remove from the case. It also adds a nice touch of personalization!

The steel of the Eklipse is a Bohler N690Co stainless steel from Austria. This steel is one of our favorites for outdoor applications.

Very resistant to oxidation, easy to sharpen and holding its edge well, it has the added advantage of not being too expensive!

A steel that deserves to be known ... and used!

The case is in black kydex with a pocket clip for the black G10 handle version, and in black leather with a belt loop for the ziricote wood handle version (so much more beautiful).

All in all, this is a beautiful piece of cutlery, whose main assets are its compactness, its versatility and its excellent ergonomics.
